What is the goal of the bartlett raiders Cheer program?

Besides bringing Cheer to our youth in the community, our program is designed to teach children fundamentals of Cheer, what it means to be part of a team, and prepare them for organized sports so they flow seamlessly into their High School programs.

We also want to provide a sense of community for all children and parents! We truly feel the Raiders is a family based organization and is all about having fun while learning.

What age range is this program for?

Our Sideline Program is for ages Pre-K - 3rd grade.

Our Sideline & Competitive Program is for athletes in Kindergarten - 7th Grade.

What age range is this program for?

SPRING SEASON - January - April

FALL COMPETITIVE & SIDELINE - May- December

SIDELINE ONLY - August - Early November (Last game of Football Season)

What kind of time commitment is involved?

Practices - K1 - Should expect 6 hours per week commitment

Practices 2nd - 8th Grade - should expect 8 hours per week commitment

Coaches will always do everything in their power to ensure time commitments are shared and distributed in a timely fashion to help with planning and scheduling.

Are there any other Events I need to know about?

Of Course! The Bartlett Raiders Cheer Program is all about hard work and fun! There are several other events such as the 4th of July Parade, Homecoming Activities, Family Night Showcase, Team Bonding events and much more!

Where are cheer practices and games located?

Bartlett Raiders Cheerleading has partnered with Midwest Sports Training. The warehouse space is located just off of North Ave and 59, behind Menards.

What does sideline cheer look like?

FUN!! Parents and cheerleaders will attend football games at Ruzicka Memorial Fields on weekend dates.

This schedule is released by BGYFL in the beginning of September.

Cheerleaders will get to cheer on their assigned team, and in the event there is a Bowl Game, Playoff Game, or Superbowl cheer teams are able to experience that with the football team!

What is homecoming?

Homecoming is a special weekend for Raiders Cheer and Football! Cheer Teams will nominate a homecoming court, complete with Princess', Queen's, and King's. The weekend events include a parade to the field, TP-ing, and team bonding the evening before!

When can I register?

Registration for the 2024 season is now closed.

How much is registration for the Competitive and Sideline Season?

K-8 Sideline Only $285

K-3 Competitive and Sideline $700

4-8 Competitive and Sideline $750

These fees are eligible for payment plans that can be chosen at checkout on Sports Engine during online registration. To get the longest payment plan terms, athletes should be registered as soon as possible. The duration of payment plans shortens as the season nears. Fundraising opportunities will be available to offset registration costs.

what is included in the registration cost?

Sideline Cheer Registration includes:

Game Day T-shirt & shorts, Game Day warm ups, Game Day bow, Family Night Showcase, Yard Sign, Game Day poms (rental), Practice 1x/per week + 1 Game per/weekend (during football season). Season runs August through end of Football Season (Early November).

K-3rd Sideline & Competitive Cheer includes:

3 ICA competitions, Indoor Facilities, Game Day & Competition Bow, Uniform rental, Family Night Showcase, Yard Sign, Professional Coaching (12 hrs), Game Day t-shirt, Homecoming events, Practice t shirt, end of season banquet + trophy Season runs May - December.

4th-7th Sideline & Competitive Cheer includes:

4 ICA competitions, Practices 3x/per week (indoor facilities), Game Day & Competition Bow, Uniform rental, Family Night Showcase, Yard Sign, Professional Coaching (12 hrs), Game Day t-shirt, Homecoming events, practice t shirt, end of season banquet + trophy Season runs May - December.

Based on feedback from families, the cost of competition shoes are not included in registration fees.

However, families will be guided at uniform fitting to available shoe options for purchase. Athletes are welcome to continue to use their cheer shoes from previous years, so long as they are clean and well kept.

Will there be additional costs?

ICA State Championship dues are not collected in registration fees. Should your team obtain a bid to state (last year 100% of our teams earned their bid!) you will be required to pay the $165 registration fee. To offset these costs, Bartlett Raiders Cheer does collaborate fundraising efforts as an option to participate in.

What additional costs can I expect?

Shoes and slush fund are not included in registration. Shoes can range from $40-$150 depending on what you chose.

Slush fund for the Fall 2024 Season is expected to be $100 per athlete. Slush fund is used for competition gifts, team bonding events, coaches gifts, and music.

Is volunteering required?

Since we a volunteer based organization, we ask that all parents pitch in where they are able to. Typical responsibilities we need assistance with are organizing/facilitating team bonding events, setup and take down of special events, facilities setup/take down, parade participation, and some fundraising efforts.
